You know, I saw that The New York Post has come out and endorsed McCain. I was impressed. They aren’t trying to hide who they support.

I think MSNBC has had irreparable damage done to it. I think ABC has taken a hard hit due to the Gibson interview, and CNN has suffered a good amount of damage as well.
The public has always known to a point that mainstream media is biased, but I don’t think ever in history has it come out in this kind of blatant fashion.

I went on the Huff post yesterday and I saw what could be described as “close to panic.” Some of the things the supporters over there are saying:

“We need to get out the message that if the Republicans get into office they are going to start a nuclear war.”

“The Republicans and the media are going to steal the election with vote fraud.”

“Obama used to be the star and have the spotlight!!”

And thats pretty much what it amounts to. He ran on celebrity. And it fades, no matter who you are. Besides the fact that his campaign had NO idea what they were getting into with the Republican campaign machine. If McCain wins this election its going to go down as one of the most brilliant campaigns in history.

The big question after all the damage this election cycle has done to the MSM’s credibility, is where do they go from here? How will they earn back the public’s trust? Or will the media get divide down the middle based on liberal/conservative lines? Each group would have its own outlets where bias is perfectly acceptable and even expected.

We’ve almost achieved that already but in a covert way. Maybe it’s time the media came out of the closet and made overt bids for their respective audiences. Such admissions might be cathartic and even increase readership. I can just see it now. Attach to a masthead, “America’s Liberal Paper of Record” and revenues would skyrocket over night. Wouldn’t that be something!

IMO HuffPo has no credibility beyond its own cesspool. Posts that are intelligent and absent the vitriol are buried in the muck. When you factor in the time it takes to wade through followed by a much needed shower, it just isn’t worth the effort. But its hard to blame the lefties for needing an outlet for their frustrations. Bottling up that much hostility could prove troublesome otherwise.

This election has pretty much killed any credibility of the media. Funny thing is, the liberals truly believe that the media is slanted to the right. Well, maybe whats they are telling themselves because their candidate is flaming wreckage. EVERY negative article that goes up is grabbed onto at Huffington Post. The entire site is pretty much dedicated to how horrible Palin is because *gasp* she is a conservative woman. That TRULY is whats driving the media and liberals hate of her.
